Please pay attention to the save name when overwriting, it is recommended to back up the original save folder first.
•
Please note, it is reccomended to have played Wandering Sword first before accessing The Southern Chronicles. This save file is meant to be a shortcut to access the new content, but ideally players should have completed a playthrough.
Instructions to transfer Saves:

Navigate to the "Save File Location",

If you cannot find the AppData folder, please navigate to your File Explorer, click "View" and allow "Hidden Items" to reveal the AppData folder

Copy and paste the "Provided Save File" into the "Save File Location"
•
Deactivate Steam Cloud. Right click Wandering Sword in the library, then click General and uncheck the Steam Cloud Saves.
•
Select this Save File, dated on 11th March 2024.
Instructions to access the new Southern Chronicles content:
There are 3 ways to trigger the New Quest Line. Please follow one of these routes.
1.
Medicine Saint Route:
•
Accept quests from NPC Tiedan in Qinghe Village.
•
After completing this quest , have a second conversation with Gusu City NPC Liu Mayi to trigger subsequent tasks.
•
Go to the deepest part of the cave, West of the Monkey Woods located outside Qinghe village, to find the exotic golden scorpion and hand it over to Liu Mayi to enter the Medicine Saint route.
2.
Yia Vang Route:
•
Without entering other routes, go to the deepest part of the cave above the Monkey Woods located outside Qinghe village to find the golden scorpion.
•
Defeat the boss fight, and give or exchange the exotic golden scorpion to Yia Vang.
•
Continue on and follow the [SIDE QUEST] The Scorpion Envoy
3.
Poison merchant route:
•
Trigger the plot when approaching the poison merchant Yuan Jiang on the west side of Solitary Cloud Marsh Pier without entering other routes.
•
Go to the deepest part of the cave above the Monkey Woods to find the exotic golden scorpion.
•
Hand it over to Yuan Jiang to enter the poison merchant route.
Once you start on one of the 3 routes, you will trigger a side quest. Please follow it to access the Southern Chronicles content!
